Edward Eyth did several concept designs before deciding on the X-3 movie design. This was another possibility.
I redesigned the X-3 as a single-engine rocket … a little bit more Dave Stevens influenced… a cross between Ed Eyth’s design and Dave’s. (bookended images for comparison)
When I’m at a con or other event, for every “Hey, its the Rockeeer!”, each “great costume”, all the “can I get a pic?” and everything else like that, I hand out a stick of Beeman’s as a thank you. It also helps with the “what’s your insta so I can tag you?” without having to spell it out

So despite the Mauser C96 being the iconic weapon for the Rocketeer, is anyone else surprised with how… little he actually uses it? After reading through several stories, I only saw him use it twice. And not once in the original story or the movie
